Educational Farm Experience  

Our farm tours for school field trips target the pre-K through 3rd grades. We offer a different “curriculum” geared for each grade level so as to be a place of interest to children and their teachers for several years. 

CALL TO RESERVE YOUR TOUR DATE 

Welcome and Ag Lesson--Once your group arrives, everyone will gather in front of the barn for an age appropriate lesson related to agriculture.

Fall Market—Children will be guided through the market to view the various produce raised on Grandaddy's Farm.

Animal Barn—A variety of young farm animals will be available for observation and each animal’s contribution to us (sheep for wool, cows for milk, etc.) is posted for your information.

Hayride—The group will ride the hayride wagon through a hay field on the farm.    Note:  wagons used are specially designed for this purpose with steps mounted and sides for safety.

Corn Maze—Paths will be marked with a series of questions pertaining to the design in which the correct answer will guide you successfully through the maze.

Nature Trail—The trail is well-marked and has identifying markers for points of interest:  trees identified, etc.

 

Other helpful information:

· Picnic tables under a pavilion are available to enjoy a snack or brought lunch

· Each child will receive a farm raised pumpkin to take home

· Photo opportunities will be present, so bring a camera

· Ample parking is available—buses are welcome

· Farm is located in North Franklin Co. 5 miles south of Tullahoma

· Open for tours in October on weekdays by appointment for school groups—other days if necessary

 

          $6 per child and parents.  Everyone takes home a 3-5 pound pumpkin.
